چکیده

Proportional delay differentiation (PDD) aims to maintain pre-specified packet queueing-delay ratios between different classes of traffic at each hop. Existing rate-allocation approaches for PDD services assume the average queueing delay of a class is inversely proportional to its service rate. This assumption may not be valid in a non-heavily loaded system. In this paper, we present a rulebased approach to provide consistent PDD services under various load conditions. In this approach, the service rate of a class is adjusted according to a set of control rules. Simulation results demonstrate that, in comparison with other rateallocation approaches, the rule-based approach is able to provide PDD services under light, moderate, and heavy load conditions consistently.

An extended intuitionistic fuzzy modified group complex proportional assessment approach

Complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) methodology is one of the well-known multiple criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) frameworks that can focus on proportional and direct dependences of the significance and utility degree of candidates under the presence of mutually conflicting criteria in real-worldcases. This studyelaboratesa newintuitionistic fuzzy modified group complex proportional...

Biaxial Buckling and Bending of Smart Nanocomposite Plate Reinforced by CNTs using Extended Mixture Rule Approach

In this research, the buckling and bending behaviour of smart nanocomposite plate reinforced by single- walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) under electro-magneto-mechanical loadings is studied. The extended mixture rule approach is used to determine the elastic properties of nanocomposite plate. Equilibrium equations of smart nanocomposite plate are derived using the Hamilton’s principle based on ...

Quantitative Service Differentiation: A Square-Root Proportional Model

Due to the open and dynamics nature of ubiquitous computing environments and services, quantitative service differentiation is needed to provide controllable quality of service (QoS) levels to meet changing system configuration and resource availability and to satisfy different requirements of applications and users. A proportional differentiation model was proposed in the DiffServ context, whi...

A Scheme to Provide Proportionally Differentiated End-to-End Packet Delay in Wireless Multi-hop Ad Hoc Networks

This paper proposes a scheme to provide in a CSMA/CA based multi-hop wireless ad hoc network, a consistent and accurate proportional differentiation in average end-to-end packet delay. The proposed scheme, called PDMED uses a cross-layer approach that requires a distributed scheduler to adapt to the information from a QoS monitor, a route monitor and a channel monitor. Conceptually, the distrib...
